EVERYONE IS VALUABLE!!
In Essence: Lets take a look at these impressive documents.
QUAKER IDEAS OF EQUALITY
SEVENTEENTH CENTURY
George Fox, Seventeenth Century mystic and social revolutionary, was a remarkable person. Based on his passionate love of God and Christ, he actually believed in the value and equality of all people. He makes it sound simple. Everyone speaks to the God, the good in others. We can do this by calling on the purity within us.
We can witness too, and answer the peace and goodness in everyone. Even captives, persons in prison, have the responsibility of answering that of God in others. No matter what our social and economic position is in this life, we treat all people justly according to that of God in them. If we are in business, we speak the truth. We must wrong no one, deal honestly with everyone, keep our word, keep accurate accounts, use just weights and measures.
s.
In short. The good in one person speaks to the good in the other person. They are able empathize, see the other person’s point of view and want the best for them.
Lack in Me
I am sure that it is a lack in me but I find it very difficult to speak to the peace and goodness in Pearce; I find it impossible in Trump.
The Founding Father’s Ideas of Equality
The Founding Fathers believed in God and that He gave us our equality so it cannot be taken away from us. It is self-evident which means that it is obvious, doesn’t need to be explained, inherent. permanent, an essential attribute.
They were also influenced by nature. Can you imagine what it must have been like to live in America when the whole country was a beautiful, wonderful National park.
United Nations Document on Human Rights
Although they believe in the freedom of religion, the United Nations Document on Human Rights, emphasizes human interests and dignity, human fulfillment.
NAACP MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate race-based discrimination. They want to educate all persons as to their constitutional rights. They want to take all lawful action to make this happen; they try to achieve equality of rights by democratic processes. To seek enactment and enforcement of federal, state, and local laws securing civil rights. To seek elimination of racial discrimination.
In short they want this country to obey its laws – that are already on the books and add new laws – on protecting all valuable citizens and giving them equal opportunities.
A DONA ANA DEMOCRAT (ME)
I think that to have equality and value for all, people living in Dona Ana County must have the opportunity to get a good job. Then everyone can feed, clothe, educate and give shelter to their families.
I know that you are thinking HERE COMES SOLAR ENERGY AGAIN. i KNOW, i KNOW. But I do think that we have this wonderful renewable resource, sunlight, which we don't take full advantage of. Dona Ana County is the sunshine, the sunniest county! If someone made a list of the sunniest counties, we would be at the top of the list.
What can we do?
Fully utilize the excellent program in Solar Energy at Dona Ana Community College. Recent high school graduates, veterans, someone looking for a career change, retirees can find training here. Make it your business to find out about their program for a certificate or an AA degree.
Find out about other resources in the county through job fairs and the State Work Force Program.
If, God forbid, Trump were to win, and if we could produce our own electricity!! We could be independent in a way that we can't be now; we could hunker down throughout the storm.
If Hilary Clinton wins, we could help our country to be less dependent on foreign oil.
